This 'man room' was created to show off its owners trophy fish and sporting equipment. A large screen TV in the media cabinet to the right of the fireplace allows friends to gather for games. A new zero-clearance fireplace is finished with cultured river rock and a slate hearth. The room is wired for surround sound, and also uses the Fireplace mantel as a chase for connecting wiring between components. Antler fixtures provide rustic lighting. Pre-finished hardwood floors and custom built rustic red shaker cabinetry on the bar and media cabinets finish this room.

The zero-clearance stone fireplace in the above room is shown in a front view here.  The fireplace is finished with cultured river rock and a slate hearth. The 600+ square foot room is wired for surround sound, and also uses the fireplace mantel as a chase to connect wiring between components.  Media cabinet to the right has a pocket door that neatly hides the large screen TV.  When the doors are open and recessed into the cabinet, a pull-out, swivel TV platform brings the TV forward.  New hardwood floors were installed throughout the first floor, plus the kitchen and a bath were remodeled.

The existing stone fireplace was the starting place for this media family room in Fall City.  Cabinetry was needed to house a wide-screen TV and game consoles for the kids. When not in use, retractable doors hide audio equipment. Using rustic Alder cabinetry that is distressed and spattered, it defines the family room yet still complements the adjoining kitchen cherry cabinetry. While the fireplace was in place,  there was nowhere to store wood, so we created a stone firewood box with a wood top to match the existing fireplace.

A home office for two turns this daylight basement into a bright and airy space to conduct business.  Cabinetry is used to create two work stations with plenty of space for storage, mail, computers. Hand-scraped look pine laminate flooring is easy to  maintain and holds up to office chairs and family pets! Keyboard pullouts, rollouts for files, mail slots in the raised countertop section and pre-wired cable keep the office clean and organized.

This Redmond music room/ library  began with little more than the fireplace and a piano.  To better use the space, we created library shelving on each side of the fireplace and cabinetry with doors below. The fireplace and hearth were refaced with travertine tile and a mantel to match the cabinetry was created. Wood soffit houses light to highlight a photo to be hung above the fireplace, while it connects shelving for a continuous look.

Seattle condo originally had an outdated brick faced fireplace to the ceiling.  Fascade brick was removed and the area above the fireplace was drywalled.  Directional spot lights were installed in the ceiling above the fireplace. Slab blue pearl granite was installed on the fireplace front and a mantel with fluted legs was created and painted to match the woodwork in the rest of the home. Carpet was removed and replaced with pre-finished hardwood flooring.
